Summer Day Camp Counselor (Temporary)
Closes: Until filled : These temporary positions are for the H. Odell Weeks and Smith-Hazel Recreation Centers. Major Duties Include: supervising children 4-12 years of age, planning daily activities indoors and outdoors including, but not limited to: arts, crafts, games, sports, swimming, and chaperoning weekly field trips, as well as interacting with children during all hours of camp. Qualifications: experience in childcare preferred. Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old, have a valid driver's license, and be able to obtain an American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED Certification, as well as pass a defensive driving course provided by the City of Aiken. Salary is $9.14 hourly with no benefits. Hours are mainly Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. with the possibility of some evenings and weekends. Maximum of 40 hours weekly.
