Utilities Technician

Position Summary The Utilities Technician will perform various services orders, hydrant meters, checking and repairing water leaks, and complete encroachment permits. Essential Responsibilities • Completes citizen’s concerns for water leaks; investigates other calls to determine the appropriate work assignment. • Completes SCDOT and Aiken County permits for jobs to be completed in their right of ways. • Delivers and sets fire hydrants meters for contractors. • Completes daily service orders from Finance Department including water pressure checks, meter leaks, broken or missing water meter lids, broken curb stops.
