Core Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain City’s existing server network and systems; Assist with desktop and application support as needed; Must be able to configure and install new servers; Manage inventory of hardware and software; Keep software and hardware security patches up to date; Run daily backups including monitoring and troubleshooting; Keep server and application licenses up to date; Assist with document imaging, endpoint security and other application servers; Must be able to manage multiple projects in a time critical production environment while working within budgets and schedules. Position will require research into server application issues as they arise. Must be driven and self-motivated with excellent problem solving abilities. Must be team and service oriented and flexible to participate in on call duties as required. Education and Experience: 5+ years of related work experience in server configuration management, administration and production support; knowledge of Windows servers as well as Linux and Apple, certification preferred; well versed in Active Directory; group policy and DNS and familiar with virtual environment and replication.
